Hallo around the world, my name is Frieda and I am working as a lecturer for Geography, Geology and Biology on board MV FRAM. I am a specialist for polar regions. Today I got a new friend. Its name is Fred, he is from Germany and -like me- he likes to travel around the world.
I promise to take care of this funny little Meerkat. Fred is just sitting together with me at the reception desk to say hello to the new incoming guests.
In the evening we are sailing through the Beagle Channel and we will reach the Drake Passage around midnight. From tomorrow onwards I will give you a report about my experiences with my new friend FRED. Hopefully he will not become seasick.
