| Fred-Report:
Hello
my last trip was not so exciting, so I sneaked off board ...
A lovely person took me to Germany so I could spend Christmas at home.
Actually, I am preparing for my next big adventure, but being offered a small trip to the port of Hamburg and the Elbe ... I could not resist.
First we went to the pilot house. Even here it was nicely decorated and we had coffee and cookies.
The job today: MSC Luciana should go to sea. At first I checked where she was moored.
From the balcony I could not see the ship. But the visibility was not too good anyway.
With the pilot boat we went over to the harbor pilots and picked up the two colleagues.
Then we continued to the MSC Luciana.
Finally back on the bridge.
The harbor pilots safely maneuvered the ship out of the port to the river.
Passing the port control station we have still had reasonably good visibility.
Later it became worse. But fortunately there is radar and other technical aids and shore based radar assistance.
Stade / Bützfleth
Now I can hardly wait to get started again. All I need is a nice ship and a good foster parent.
