| Fred-Report:
25th of January 2015 Port Lockroy, Goudier Island / Antarctica
Today is – once again – our last day at the Peninsula. Early in the morning we anchored at Port Lockroy and invited the people from the base over for breakfast.
Esther and I took the mail ashore again. We had a nice little chat with the people at Bransfield House. We asked them if I would maybe be allowed to stay at Port Lockroy. Lisa got an invitation to spend 10 days here in February – and I thought she might like my company… . Stephen and Sarah gave it some thought – they only have four bunks at Nissen Hut and their supplies still have to last a while – but then they happily agreed that it would actually be fun to have me around. WOW!!! This is exciting! I can’t wait to go and tell Lisa that I am allowed to stay with her!!!
Back on board Henrik, Joel and Marek were making use of the perfect conditions – they got our BBQ going on the aft sun deck!
This was a great idea!!! I helped them a bit and once all passengers were gone we sat together and also enjoyed a BBQ lunch.
