This morning we woke up to some quite intense rolling of the ship. We had arrived off Detaille Island and were taking a look at our options. Sadly the swells were too big and the wind was too strong for our Zodiacs to be lowered - so a landing was out of question. Hm. We headed a bit further south, hoping to find some nice ice and looking for wildlife. We saw quite a lot of seals, but the wind just wouldn’t die down. Eventually we turned around and made our way towards Prospect Point, where we were hoping to find a little shelter and be able to offer a landing and a Zodiac cruise. Upon our arrival, however, all hopes quickly dissolved. The landing site was blocked by lots of ice and sleet was now coming down horizontally. Therefore this outing got cancelled, too.
But there was still the evening - a special programme had been scheduled. Believe it or not, but tonight I went out to a concert!
The world famous “Spice Boys” were playing up in the Lounge!!!
The band consists of our Navigation Officer Freddy,
Provision Master Joel, Utility Hand Ramir, AB Roel and Waiter Jeffrey.
Special guest of the night was Lisa, who sang a solo.
A lot of people danced; it was a wonderful evening!
