Ushuaia / Argentina
54°48’7S, 068°17’8W
My first cruise is ending... . We went alongside in Ushuaia tonight and tomorrow morning the passengers will disembark. The new group is not too far away. They are in Buenos Aires and will make their way down to Ushuaia on a charter plane tomorrow morning.
Ushuaia is located at the Beagle Channel and is the capital of the Argentinean state Tierra del Fuego. It praises itself for being the southern-most town of the world.
After our arrival we first had to be cleared before anybody was allowed to go ashore. I met the ships’ agents Lucas and Hernán; two super nice guys who really have their act together.
Later in the evening Henrik, Yuiriy and Esther took me out to town. We went to the Dublin Bar, where Anders had reserved a table. Anders and Ulf were celebrating their farewell; both of them are going on vacation tomorrow.
