Fred-Report:

Hello,

I am the Catholic priest port chaplain with the International Seamen's House at the port of Savannah, Georgia, USA, and got word from Stella Maris in New York that Fred would be coming here on Friday, March 22, 2013, with my friend Filippino seaman chief cook Flaviano on the container ship Hanjin Irene.

Well, Friday came and no Fred. Saturday we had hard wind and fog, so no Hanjin Irene and no Fred!

Finally at 10:30 am on Sunday, March 24, Flaviano called to tell me
that Fred had arrived in Savannah and was ready to get off the ship
for a while. They decided to stay in the Seamen's House inside the
port, use the computer and phone, drink coffee and eat snacks all day instead of going shopping.

Fred decided to go with seaman Marlon from the Philippines and
board the Rotterdam Express at 9:00 pm, headed for the Panama Canal
and then Los Angeles, California. He may decide to get off at Los
Angeles, or Oakland, California, later--or to cross the Pacific to Asia.
