After leaving Russian waters yesterday evening we are now heading back to Svalbard again.

I used the day at sea to digest the experiences of the past weeks. A very exciting and special cruise is slowly but surely coming to an end.

I saw so many interesting places and learned so much and my expectations were exceeded by far!!!

Luckily I am on board the National Geographic Explorer. Here is not much time for sentimentality, because over here one event is chasing the next.

This afternoon our Chief Officer Magnus had a huge surprise for me! He presented a license to me: MY Zodiac driver license!!!



WUOOOOOW! How great is that?????




I only had to sign the document and am now a member of a pretty unique community!





An extremely happy Fred has falling into his bunk tonight!
