Fred-Report:

I am back in Tromsø! And we arrived a whole day earlier than originally planned. Two days ago we sadly had to cancel our visit to Bear Island. The wind was way too strong for a Zodiac tour – we therefore set sail for the Norwegian coast. After a calm and beautiful morning in the Fjords we went alongside in Tromsø.
Most of Tromsø is located on the island of Tromsøya, after which the city has been named. The island is connected to the Norwegian mainland by the Tromsø Bridge as well as the Tromsøysund Tunnel. The city center of Tromsø has the highest number of wooden houses in northern Norway. The world’s most northerly university, brewery and botanical garden are also found in Tromsø.
Things got a bit busy once we were tied up. We had to take on bunkers and dispose our garbage. The agent was on top of everything and re-arranged all those little bits and pieces to happen a day earlier.
I did not want to go ashore this time, but help with all the preparations happening on board. Today was a big day for one of the crew members – Esther was celebrating her Birthday.

We decorated the crew mess and turned it into a Hard Rock Cafè.

The galley crew made some excellent snacks, while Anders got a good punch going. Jon-Jon was taking care of the music – and everybody came to celebrate. We certainly had a lot of fun!!!
